Find y if x = 0

y = 2·0² + 8·0 + 10

Find another point if the y = 10, because a curve has multiple pairs of coordinates with the same value of y.

10 = 2x² + 8x + 10

Factor it!

2x(x+4) = 0

x = -4

Then find the vertex of the curve

from the quadratic equation 2x² + 8x + 10,
